The Black Collective Foundation MN invests in change makers who are building and strengthening culturally rooted systems that advance the social, political, and economic interests of Black people across Minnesota.

Through our 100% participatory Community Builders grantmaking model, we’re honored to work in partnership with organizations and individual leaders and grow community-rooted and aligned power.

Our funding supports the following:

• Proven Impact: organizations that have demonstrated tangible impact and need support to sustain, scale, or deepen their impact by strengthening their systems.

• Planning & Visioning: investments to support innovative approaches to Black-led change by building strong systems from the start.

• Strength & Sustain: unrestricted, flexible funding for expenses that are essential for an organization to function, such as program support, staff salaries, utilities, maintenance, supplies and additional overhead and program costs at the discretion of the leaders of the organization.

• Leadership Development: designed to support and sustain the holistic wellbeing of Minnesota’s most innovative and impactful leaders as they build resilient organizations and contribute to a strong and connected ecosystem.

• Rapid Response: emergency funding to stabilize and sustain communities impacted by crisis.
